ANNOUNCEMENT OF COURTYARD GROUP LAW PRACTICE
Dear Valued and Respected Clients,
We are pleased to inform you that M/s Gurdip and Gill (G&G) and M/s Jacob Mansur and Pillai (JMP) have, with effect from 1st January 2021, been granted approval from the Ministry of Law to form a group law practice known as the Courtyard Group Law Practice. Both G&G and JMP are now member firms of the Courtyard Group Law Practice.
G&G and JMP share the same grounded ethos of dedicated service with a strong emphasis on personalised and bespoke solutions for you, our clients. Both our firms have always and continue to strive to provide reliable and trustworthy services with a strong focus on understanding and connecting with our clients across all levels of representation.
Throughout the past decade, G&G and JMP have worked closely together in various aspects and have proven to be highly compatible firms who share the same values and passion for client-oriented legal solutions. It was thus a natural step for our two firms to formalise our alliance into the Courtyard Group Law Practice so as to better serve you, our clients.
What is a Group Law Practice?
A group law practice is a way of organising individual and distinct firms into a collective without compromising the identities of the constituent members.
As stated in s 42(1) of the Legal Profession (Law Practice Entities) Rules 2015, "The purpose of a Singapore group practice is to enable the Singapore law practices in the Singapore group practice to come together in mutual cooperation without being partners of each other."
What does this mean for you, the client?
We, G&G, continue to offer our wide range of services and maintain our past working relationships with our respective clients and welcome all and any enquiries with regard to your legal issues.
With this exciting collaboration, we have enhanced the collective prowess of our already-strong team of seasoned lawyers. The partners of G&G, Mr Gurdip Singh and Mr Jagjit Singh Gill, and the partners of JMP, Mr Mansur Husain and Mr Remesha Pillai, have the collective combined post-qualification experience of over 100 years.
