Benjamin graduated from Singapore Management University in 2017. The mainstay of his practice is litigation and disputes resolution and he has been involved in a myriad of court cases.
Benjamin takes a special interest in criminal defence work and has successfully secured exoneration for clients facing charges ranging from cheating and sexual assault to regulatory offences.
Notably, Benjamin successfully defended a client accused of maid abuse (including various charges for sexual and physical assault), obtaining an acquittal on 28 charges. He also successfully defended a massage parlour owner facing charges for failing to prevent an employee from providing sexual services (under Rule 12 of the Massage Establishments Rules), securing a full acquittal. He is also experienced in corruption matters involving bodies such as SMRT and SBS.
Beyond the courtroom, Benjamin is adept at advising clients on their rights and guiding clients (whether as suspects, witnesses, or victims) through the investigation and interview process by various investigative bodies such as the Singapore Police Force (SPF); Commercial Affairs Department (CAD); Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB); Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB); etc.
Benjamin is also adept at navigating the complexities of highly acrimonious divorces and family litigation, often dealing with sensitive matters involving allegations of physical and sexual abuse. He has succeeded in helping both fathers and mothers through contentious applications under the Women’s Charter and Guardianship of Infants Act. His expertise lies not only in legal strategy but also in providing compassionate guidance during challenging times.
In civil litigation, Benjamin's proficiency extends from resolving debt recovery and employment issues to handling intricate cases in corporate fraud and conspiracy.
Beyond litigation, Benjamin extends corporate legal advisory and contract drafting services to select clients.
